Lead Quality Analyst - Cedar Falls

Summary

Complete testing and inspection of products according to Customer requirements by performing the following listed essential duties and responsibilities. Perform internal Quality System audits and carry out continuous improvement projects. Perform internal Quality System auditing as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Performs material, mechanical, dimensional and performance inspections and evaluations of products according to applicable product specifications.
  • Participates in internal and external corrective and preventive action processes.
  • Reviews inspection and testing data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitors and helps drive execution of inspections in accordance test plans and/or other applicable requirements.
  • Drives productivity without adversely impacting quality.
  • Responsible for training of new lab personnel.
  • Assists with the development of documented Quality Department processes in compliance with requirements of ISO 17025; assists with the process of accreditation to the ISO 17025 standard under the direction of the Quality Manager.
  • Promotes cooperation and good will among departments to help drive optimal cross functional coordination of activities and add value for customers.
  • Actively engages with Quality Leadership Team in developing, refining, monitoring and executing strategic plans to meet organizational and quality goals.
  • Perform basic computer functions in business ERP and quality-specific systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor Degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
