Founded in Florence in 1946 as a manufacturer of microphones and megaphones, B&C Speakers has grown to become a world leader in the professional sound market. In the 1990s, the company experienced a real boom, consolidating its position thanks to the quality of its products and its capacity for innovation. But with growth came new challenges: ensuring production continuity and efficiently managing thousands of components.
Before adopting Smart Factory Logistics, managing components was a manual and complex process. Mattia Borghi, head of the loudspeaker department, explains: "We stored fasteners in cardboard boxes with adhesive labels. Often, the stock recorded in the management system did not match the physical stock, which led to long production downtimes."
