Halder® Products Overview
Spring Plungers

Spring plungers consist of a pin, a ball and a spring. These elements come in a variety of materials and sizes and can withstand light, standard or heavy loads. The pins are available with external thread (mounting by internal hexagon or slot drive), or with a smooth collar (mounting by pressing in). Spring plungers are very versatile – therefore these elements are trusted across a wide spectrum of applications in various industries. They can be used, for example, to position and lock elements in the workpiece.
Spring plunger with movable ball: For sensitive applications, Halder® offers a spring plunger with a moveable ball, minimizing the wear on the counterpart. In addition, the plastic ball bearing is electrically insulated.
Features:
- Optimize locking performance haptically and acoustically
- Minimize wear on the counter part
- Micro-abrasion lubricating system, maintenance-free
- Plastic ball bearing can offer electrical insulation
- Temperature range -30ºC to 90 ºC
- RoHS and REACH compliant
Threaded Lifting Pins

Threaded lifting pins are easy-to-use, robust support elements which enable you to lift even heavy loads quickly and safely. All you need is a suitable metric thread in the workpiece.
By pressing a button, the threaded part of the lifting pin retracts, so it can be inserted into the female thread of the load part. Releasing the button anchors the threaded lifting pin in the female thread. After a subsequent tightening of the threaded lifting pin, the load can be lifted safely.
Halder® threaded lifting pins are available with and without a rotating shackle. The shackle always aligns itself in the direction of pull during lifting – the lifting pin itself is not rotating, which prevents it from coming loose.
Features:
- Max. load capacity of up to 840kg (with M16)
- Easy installation at the push of a button, no screwing-in
- Only a suitable metric thread is required
- 85% time-savings in assembly and disassembly compared to eyebolts
- Reusable
- Safety bar to prevent unintentional loosening
- Safe lifting from different positions/angles
- Product and application safety certified by TÜV Süd (CE marking)
- Available in two corrosion-protected versions
Ball-Ended Thrust Screws

Ball-ended thrust screws are used for workpiece clamping in the construction of operating equipment for machine tools. They consist of a standard screw with a crimped ball at the end of the thread and are especially suitable for clamping non-parallel surfaces.
In contrast to a spring plunger, the ball is not flexible and cannot be pushed inwards. The screws are available with or without a head and are made of hardened heat-treated steel with torque force up to 1200 N/mm2 or stainless steel, while the balls are made of hardened ball-bearing steel or hardened stainless steel. Ball ends can be either flattened or rounded in design. Additionally, there is a specific ball made of thermoplastics for applications that are sensitive to pressure.
Features:
- Protect against rotating, optimize load transmission
- Precise positioning, clamping and supporting of non-parallel surfaces
- Plastic ball bearing can offer electrical insulation
Ball Lock Pins

The various types of locking pins generally have a similar function: quick connection and release without additional tools. They are designed for frequent and repeated connecting, adjusting, locking and securing. To lock or unlock the balls, the operator just has to press or release a button. Due to the special form-fitting mechanism, unintentional release of the pin is virtually impossible.
Features:
- Available with different handles, such as T-handle, L-handle, safety handle, elastic grip, combination handle or handle with clamping span
- Corrosion-resistant
- Self-locking
- Outstanding wear resistance and load capacity
- Ergonomic grip design
- RoHS and REACH compliant
Lateral Spring Plungers

Lateral spring plungers are used to securely position or clamp workpieces in place. In manufacturing, this is especially useful if you have parts that need to be engraved, labeled, painted or welded. They are also available with a seal to protect them from dust, chips or dirt. Lateral spring plungers are installed by pressing into a pre-drilled hole.
Features:
- Press-in assembly
- Available with or without CR seal
- Light to heavy spring load
- Material (body): aluminium
- Material (spring): stainless steel, steel blackened, steel zinc-plated (galvanized)
- Material (pin): steel (case-hardened, zinc plated) or thermoplastic POM, white
Spring Bodies

Similar to spring plungers, spring bodies can be used for locking incremental adjustments in small applications such as temperature controllers in a car.
Features:
- Material (body): steel, nickel-plated
- Material (spring): stainless steel 1.4310
