PEMSERTER® Insertion Machines for Self-Clinching Fasteners

Reliably install PEM® self-clinching fasteners with the original PEMSERTER® machines. For existing industrial set-ups, use the IN-DIE Feeding System to automatically feed PEM® fasteners to your insertion presses.

PEMSERTER® 4

The PEMSERTER® 4 press with force restrictor can process all PEM® self-clinching fasteners in a range up to 53.4 kN. It is suitable for small to medium-sized lots. For operating the press, you only need a compressed air connection of max. 6 bar. A time delay valve (timer) ensures the optimal installation of self-clinching fasteners – especially for stainless steel panels.

When using turret anvils (revolving anvils), the changeover time from one thread size to another can be achieved in a matter of seconds. These turret anvils are available for studs, standoffs and nuts. Of course, such a turret anvil can also be modified to make it suitable for various parts, exactly in accordance with the requirements of the customer's components.

The press plunger descends by its own weight, slowed by the air valve. Sheet thickness and fastener height are preset. The power stroke only starts when a control lug triggers the ball valve; a toggle lever performs a max. 4 mm working stroke.

The force is adjusted via a pressure reducer with quick vent valve and a kN indicator. The integrated pneumatic counter registers the valid working strokes performed and thus the number of fasteners installed.

This is particularly important for hard panels such as stainless steel. The material must be able to flow into the self-clinching fastener’s undercut. A strong connection can only be guaranteed if there is enough time for cold forming.

The laser dot helps you find the right insertion position.

Aim the laser at the center of the die. When positioning the sheets, the laser dot shows exactly where the sheet must be moved to find the die. This saves both time and money!

PEMSERTER® NEXTGEN UNIVERSAL IN-DIE Feeding System

The PEMSERTER® IN-DIE system enables you to automatically feed inserts into your clinching presses at high industrial speeds. With the NEXTGEN UNIVERSAL IN-DIE FEED CART, you can feed self-clinching nuts, studs, or standoff fasteners to an existing press for single or multiple insertions.

The PEMSERTER® IN-DIE provides a perfectly reproducible process with continuous monitoring. Built on a mobile trolley with wheels and a stabilizing cylinder, the IN-DIE can be moved from one insertion press to another with ease. Connecting the feeding system to a press takes less than 3 minutes. Equipped with a hopper and one or more vibrating bowls, it offers single or multiple distribution options (up to 6 channels).
