The Challenges
In particular, Rometron struggled with:
- The need for reliable anti-loosening fastening techniques for systems operating under vibration and outdoor conditions
- No technical support from the existing supplier; emails containing technical questions remained unanswered
- A mix of drive types (Phillips and Torx) led to inconsistent and error-prone assembly
- The need for high-quality components such as stainless steel A2/A4 fasteners, spacers, SEMS screws and Torx fasteners with anti-loosening features
- Documentation requirements including REACH, RoHS, a 2.1 certificate and a Certificate of Conformity
